Silkthreads Archive Google Drive Folder

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1X3O21iYW8oRS3-iaJf-lPo1as1t7KYkv?usp=sharing

Sorry to any languages not sorted into their own folders yet (especially Norwegian... not sure there they are but still looking).

There was very obvious favouritism for Chinese as originally this was only going to be for Mandarin, but it just kind of kept growing. How much was archived from each language forum depended on a variety of factors, firstly (very largely) if anyone had built directories to key posts, whether it was confirmed key posts were already saved by someone else, and if anyone from that language forum was requesting help or seemed particularly stressed about the closure.

Apologies for the delay, and Thank you for your patience. Hope to see you all on Duome )

Now to reddit-award-away!

End of March Update

Thanks for your patience! It has been a bit of a wild few weeks for deadlines -Duolingo-related and otherwise- but I am close to publishing the folders via google drive. Goal is to have it done by next Thursday.

Documents for languages are in the queue, but feel free to browse a few archive.ph links posted today for Chinese and Navajo. There are some more for Chinese yet to be posted, so that one will be added to at a later date.

Ways to Keep Journeying with the Duolingo Community

Duome forums - possibly the closest to the classic forums there is. The navigation can look intimidating but it is actually quite similar.

https://forum.duome.eu/

The Discord posted about by lingot in this post has comprehensive organization by language, and over 20,000 members. Great for interactive learning and practicing your language skills.

Discord organized by mods, recommended to join  before the forums close for verification purposes

Reddit's r/duolingo. Less organized, but an awesome place for general duolingo chitchat

Sneak peak

Here is a little peak at a test of one potential (though rejected) method of sharing a relatively small portion of the library:

file:///E:/Threads%20-%20Duolingo%20Forum/Threads%20-%20Duolingo%20Forum.html

Unlike with that link there will be images and there are hundreds more than weren't included in this sample, but hopefully it can help give you reason to have faith that these "hundreds of already-saved files" do indeed exist. (edit: wow just realized there are actually over 1000…)

I would make a better one for now but my computer has been giving me trouble -probably from trying retrieve too many files at once from my online files to the local drive.

Please check back later for updates!
